What I'm doing now

Updated August 2026 · This page changes when my focus does, roughly monthly.

This is a now page — a public answer to "so what are you up to these days?". Unlike the about page, which is the record, this is the snapshot.

Working on

  • Web projects at Gaijin Entertainment — working in the web development team, building the web projects around the company's games. This is the day job, and it owns my working hours.
  • A co-op rogue-like for Steam — a new game in active development, built in Unity.
  • Tiny Boo Movie — an AI-animated YouTube series. Writing, directing, and the production pipeline are all in-house; the shorts keep a weekly cadence alongside full episodes.
  • Music as Zynthar — writing the next album. Planned release: August 2026.

Reading & thinking about

  • AI-content regulation landing on game developers this year — EU AI Act transparency rules, store disclosure policies, age-rating laws. It's the space my Steam AI Disclosure tool lives in, and it is moving fast.
  • Production discipline for generative pipelines: how to make AI video repeatable — shot lists, character sheets, and written craft rules instead of vibes.

Availability

Open to new projects — selectively. Everything below runs alongside a full-time engineering job, so capacity is limited by design and I say no quickly:

The fastest way to a yes or a no is a short message on Telegram or the inquiry form — I reply within 24 hours.

Not doing

  • Not looking for a full-time job change.
  • Not taking free "quick calls" that are actually consulting — the first consulting call is free anyway, book that instead.
  • Not writing production code for hire. I lead engineers; I don't replace them.
